chrt answered your question: But wait, are we not allowed to dislike The Age of Adz? why shouldn’t you be? I’d maybe say listen again. It’s a brilliant record. I feel like people get REALLY defensive about people not liking that album.

owsley answered your question: But wait, are we not allowed to dislike The Age of Adz? The album is OK to me. I haven’t listened to it enough to really judge it… but that just shows you even more that it’s not “great” imo. I really like him (consider him one of my top five favorite musicians) and I even bought it on vinyl the day it was released but I can’t get into it. It’s not for...

I kind of hate that album. I don’t think he sold out or anything, I just didn’t like it. I think we lose sight of the fact that sometimes, our favorites are capable of putting out music we don’t like, and that we don’t have to like everything.

I can’t wait to get excited about being bummed about not being able to go to all the summer festivals this year. At least there’s livestreams.

futuresushi: christmasmello: italianplastic: deathdrag: kamsud: I wouldn’t pay $85 to see Jesus. Hell no. The most I’ve paid for Deerhunter was $25 and even still, that was pushing it. I WILL NO LONGER PAY STEEP TICKET PRICES TO FUEL YOUR HAIR GEL COST BRADFORD. Couple of things here: we indie fans are so spoiled because pop concerts are way more than $85. Hell, Beyonce’s...

lissome-light replied to your post: lissome-light replied to your post: The National… Agreed. It made me wish I could’ve gone both nights because Geese + Karen + 90 Mile Water Wall is brilliant and I would kill to hear all of them live, but Friday night/them playing City Middle was perfect. Opening with “Ada” and playing “Murder Me Rachael” was awesome too....

lissome-light replied to your post: The National were great the other night but you… Ahhhh, me too. I had a really similar reaction because that song is also super important to me. That was such an incredible show, I was so happy that I could be there. Last night they did “Geese” (which I have heard) and “Karen” (which I have not) and I was little jealous but I...

The National were great the other night but you know that. The thing you do need to know is that they did “City Middle,” and we were shocked and speechless and a little teary. That songs means A LOT to me.

lookingformyshadow answered your question: Got into this discussion last night: who are the indie rock/pop heartthrobs? I didn’t even know that word existed. What is suppose to mean? According to dictionary.com, it is “an objection of infatuation.” Usually when they call an actor or musician a heartthrob, it’s someone who is popular with the ladies and is often considered...
