I wouldn’t pay $85 to see Jesus.

Hell no. The most I’ve paid for Deerhunter was $25 and even still, that was pushing it.

I WILL NO LONGER PAY STEEP TICKET PRICES TO FUEL YOUR HAIR GEL COST BRADFORD.

Couple of things here: we indie fans are so spoiled because pop concerts are way more than $85. Hell, Beyonce’s intimate shows at the Hammerstein Ballroom were $149 before fees. Most of the shows I go to are between $20-35, and even $35 is pushing it.

With that being said, I have a ticket-buying policy: I’ll play anything to see Andrew Bird, but I won’t pay more than what I’ve paid to see him to see anyone else. So the answer is yes.
